Given the opportunity to select an organization of our choice, our team chose to investigate SolarAid, and the challenges the company faces as it pursues aggressive growth targets.
Our proposal included expanding Solar penetration by introducing portable lantern stations as part of the existing offering, and including mobile charging capabilities with the SolarAid home solar kits.
As a result of our recommendations, we forecasted a positive cash position of $7.5MM and approximately 50,000 new solar installations in rural Africa by 2015.
