I completed a bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 2012. While at the UofC, I was a member of numerous student clubs, elected to the Students Union, and was presented with the Michael Johnson Award for Cumulative Contribution to the Business School.

Mount Royal University

I started my degree at Mount Royal University, beginning in the faculty of arts, and moving to the Bissett School of Business before transferring to the University of Calgary in 2009.

Senior Strategy Consultant | March 2014 – Present

Supported a broad range of clients on strategy engagements in the energy, regulatory, and post-secondary education spaces. Published a Point of View on Innovation during the summer of 2015 in cooperation with the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.

Accenture Canada

Management Consulting Analyst | September 2012 – September 2013

Worked on various project teams to provide complex solutions to a number of Fortune 100 clients, both local and international. These clients spanned across industry, including energy, telecommunications, and multimedia.

University of Calgary Students’ Union

Haskayne Faculty Representative | May 2010 – April 2012

I was elected to the University of Calgary Students’ Union in 2010 as the representative of 2700 Business students, and re-elected in 2011. I chaired an empowered committee responsible for the management of a substantial student endowment, and represented students on a number of issues to the university, and to the government (provincial and municipal).

CEDA International Corporation

Research Assistant – Strategy | May 2011 – September 2011

As a research assistant working with the senior strategy team, I assisted in the review and complete re-development of the strategy for the organization. I was also responsible for the development of a Merger & Acquisition framework, and the opening of a new heavy machine shop in Edmonton.

Quattro Integration Group

Marketing Analyst | May 2011 – September 2011

Working with Quattro, I was responsible for the vetting and research of potential new clientele. I was also responsible for the development of a complete set of branding guidelines for both print and digital, and the development of a number of supporting assets.

Strategic Management Association

Founder (President 2011-12) | July 2011 – Present

Recognizing an unfulfilled need at the UofC for a consulting club, I leveraged my knowledge of the industry and familiarity with student organizations, to establish the SMA in the summer of 2011. Within the first year, we held numerous events, and forged close ties to most of the major consulting firms in the Calgary market. In 2012, the SMA went on to host it’s first annual case competition.

Enactus Calgary

National Competitions Team Member | March 2010 – May 2012

In 2010, I was tasked with the development of the organization’s annual report, presented to judges at the national competition. I expanded on this role by assisting with the development of the accompanying slide presentation. In 2012, I reprized this role, leading a team in the development of these same technical assets.

As a member of the ISEEESA marketing team, I developed a number of important assets, including advertisements, one page fact sheets, presentation slide shows and other promotional materials. I also assisted the team as required at events.

I provide input and feedback on ideation, business plan development, and the operation of the resulting student company (known as “Sparx Innovations”). Also responsible for the delivery of lectures on various business topics including Marketing and Finance.

Calgary International Film Festival

Festival Volunteer | September 2009 – Present

On an annual basis, I have acted as a client-facing volunteer with the Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF). I have held a range of positions including Theatre Attendant, Customer Service “Ask Me” Representative, and Box Office Service.

Calgary Folk Music Festival

Festival Volunteer | September 2009 – Present

Each summer, I work with the shipping and receiving team of the Folk Music Festival. As a senior member of the team, this role includes management of my peers and the tracking of all items brought on to the site by the festival.

Calgary Spoken Word Festival

Box Office Volunteer | July 2009

In 2009, I worked the front door for the Spoken Word Festival. Greeting artists and media, collecting entrance fees, and keeping the room organized.
